The other way
av Kirsten Malmberg

Even after you have fallen
You still fall
You feel the weight of your body lying down
Even though your at the bottom, you can still feels it’s eternity

I can choose not to allow myself being down here
I can choose to avoid it
At least for some time
But I think I then know
That the fall is waiting for me
To trap me into the dark side

We should remember that every dark corner has got a source of light
Waiting to be discovered’
perhaps if we try to avoid the darkness
It grows bigger and haunts us more
And takes over our capacity to really see the other way.
The new and cleansed us
So what will it take to be able to look the other way?

All of me, sinking
Maybe if I am able to fall even further I will break through the fall
And find myself on the top
Perhaps falling is freedom
Perhaps it makes me realise that it was there for a reason
Here I go
.
.
.Falling
.
.
.
.
Look the other way?

Finally I feel again
I can recognise truth and reality
Finally I am able to see
Not blinded by a shadow I once thought was the sun
Sit in the grass and hear my own thoughts as well as the wind in the trees
It is not about loneliness
It is about love and about happiness
That suddenly again I can feel right here and right now.
Realising that the world outside my head exists
Being
Living
Even though my heart still is broken
At least I have made the choice of life

We should remember that every dark corner has got a source of light
Waiting to be discovered
Perhaps if we try to avoid the darkness
It grows bigger and haunts us more
And takes over our capacity to really see
The other way
the new and cleansed us
So what will it take to be able to look the other way?
