Hello Amber! How are you? I am fine, it’s the first Christmas day and I am so exited to look at all the cool stuff I got yesterday! First I want to tell a little about what I did this Christmas. I know you have asked me before how Norwegians celebrates Christmas but I never got to answer you.

In our tradition we start early with decorations. We have Christmas light on our house and a lot of small Santa Clause around the house. Then on the last day before Christmas day we get the tree and we decorates it with a lot of stuff. Often we have round balls, the Norwegian flag, small Santa Clauses, some light and off course the star at the top of the tree. It’s always beautiful!

Then on Christmas day we do the washing and my mother takes care of the dinner, it’s always rib, meatballs and some Christmas hot dogs. We also have a great dessert, its rise pudding with red sauce. Its lovely!

I am never on the washing cause then I am in the stable taking care of the horses there. I get paid to do it, sense the owner have no time to do it on her own on Christmas day. So when the clock turns five pm the guest comes (then I have got home) and we always start the “party” with some good marzipan, cookies and something to drink.

Then the big dinner comes and we all eat a lot of the good food mom have made us. After that we all is foul and we go to the living room to open the presents. It takes a long time to open them cause we are ten and all have with there own presents. When we have open them up we eat the dessert and so it’s just to talk and eat marzipan, cookies and cake.

Oh off course I forgot to mention, we always have a nut in the rise pudding and the person who gets it gets a great, soft and big marzipan pig! This year I cheat a little bit, I had a nut in my pocket when we began and I just put it in the rise pudding without anybody see it. So I got the pig and it was lovely as normal.

When we have eaten up everything on the table (and more) the guest goes home and we go to bed. So on the first Christmas day its kind of a cleaning day (for me to) after the party. It’s always a lot of cleaning to do!

So when we are finished with that to we go and check out our new stuff. That is what I am doing right now! I got a lot of fun stuff: 1. An mp3 player 2. A DVD 3. A lot of clothes. Oh!
